The 100K club on our YouTube channel

As a blogger and YouTuber I never really think much about what would be the hottest subjects and the fastest running videos. That is because I only want to make blogs and films about things that interest me at the moment. I need to have my heart in the process, and my calculating brain don’t really have that much to say on that matter. As an all-round angler, I know that my fly fishing friends and followers only want fly fishing and fly tying content, and my spin fishing friends have other preferences.

I don’t really care much about that. I like most kinds of angling, and my output will always mirror my current addiction. I don’t follow trends. I don’t really have to fish with the newest tackle, and I mostly follow my gut feeling when choosing the direction.

With all that in mind, it is a pleasure to see, that the videos and blogs Ulla and I produce make a lot of you guys happy.

So far, 3 of our videos have passed 100K views. And the best thing is, there are spinning as well as fly fishing videos in that small exclusive club. The winners are:

No 1 – The Classic Bucktail Jig

With more than 158.000 views a this video is a comfortable winner. I am so pleased that my love for this classic old school lure is shared by so many people around the globe. Tying and fishing hair jigs is keeping a beautiful tradition alive – and still catch more than the next guy. Still my go-to lure.

No 2 – Yellow Monster Bugger

My take on a Woolly Bugger combined with the articulated streamer concept, has accounted for a lot of large predators over the years. And it has also passed 132.000 views.

No 3 – 11 Streamer Flies Swimming

All of our under water videos are popular but with 124.000 views this one is the fastest running. Seeing flies through the lens of an underwater camera – swimming in real lakes and streams can be an eye-opening experience. Most of the large streamer flies in this film are also available as separate fly tying films on our channel.
